One of the many missions of Ozaukee Economic Development is to inform and educate potential companies and businesses about the value of growing and building in Ozaukee County. According to the study, sponsored by the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, “The annual rankings provide a revealing snapshot of how health is influenced by where we live, work, and play. They provide a starting point for change in communities.” Among the many demographics provided by this study are Length of Life, Quality of Life, and several health behaviors such as amount of smokers, obesity, and acesss to exercise opportunities. Within the 2022 rankings as well as for 2021, which Ozaukee County was also ranked number one, deaths attributable to COVID-19 were also factored into the data that was gathered.
Health is more than what happens at the doctor’s office.
