The Superbowl is done. The Kansas City Chiefs are the Champions, Rihanna had a great half-time show and the football season is over for the year. However, for people like Mark Murphy, President of the Green Bay Packers, the job doesn’t stop at the end of the season. Of course, they are working on things like payroll and salaries for 2023/2024 season, figuring out the draft and making the big decision on what to do with regards to a quarterback for the future. But the Green Bay Packers don’t just run a football organization.
The Packers organization has realized that the success of their team doesn’t end on the field.
The success of their team goes beyond the field and encompasses Green Bay and its business community. The Packers organization formed Titletown Development and Titletown Tech as ways to change and improve the Green Bay community. Titletown Development is a real estate development that encompasses retail, hotel and residential development in the Green Bay area. The development itself is used to foster new business growth and is part of Titletown Tech. Titletown Tech is a business partnership with Microsoft and the Green Bay Packers that was formed in 2019. The partnership is a seed stage venture fund that focuses on helping entrepreneurs looking to create meaningful changes in the fields of sports; media & entertainment; digital health; agriculture, water & the environment; manufacturing & construction; supply chain & logistics and cross-industry technology. The program was set up to help business grow and expand here in the United States, but focusing on businesses within the Midwest.
Mark Murphy as President of the Green Bay Packers has overseen the creation and development of both of these organizations and has been instrumental in the growth of the Packers into more than football. Ozaukee Economic Development is thrilled to announce that Mr. Murphy will be our featured speaker at Outreach Event on Wednesday, April 26th.
